Appointment Coordinator, Communications Center Job in Linden Oaks Internal Medicine

As an Appointment Coordinator, you will play a central role in shaping our patients’ overall experience and level of satisfaction with Rochester Regional Health – outstanding customer service and organizational skills are keys to your success. You will interact regularly with patients, providers and payers throughout each patient’s healthcare experience and collaborate with physician and clinical departments to provide continual patient support.

This position requires a warm and inviting disposition, as you will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families, via phone. You are key in the success of operations and compassionate patient care every day.

Linden Medical Group is a large, yet intimate medical practice comprised of 6 physicians and 2 nurse practitioner’s providing compassionate, comprehensive healthcare in collaboration with our patients. Our practice gives patients a quality experience in a warm, personal setting. Our office is located in beautiful Penfield/Rochester border, convenient to 490.

We are seeking an individual who can help distinguish our practice as an amazing place. You will help create a wonderful first impression for patients/visitors, set the tone and be responsible for delivering a sophisticated experience. You will work closely with many disciplines on coordinating patient care, scheduling needs, creating telephone encounters and informing patients on their care.

STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION: 30 Hagen Drive Suite 300
DEPARTMENT: Linden Medical Group
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

ATTRIBUTES

Two (2) years customer service experience, preferably in a health care setting required
Proficient in use of computers, including multi-task ability by navigating, typing and listening
Strong customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional behavior
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Friendly and clean appearance
Reliable, dedicated and on time

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service. Provide courteous, attentive and prompt service to all those you work with and support
Collaboration. Work well with others in different departments and organizations to deliver a seamless, exceptional customer experience
EMR (Electronic Medical Records) utilization. Proper use of an EMR to communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians and the community to schedule patient appointments, complete registrations and respond to inquiries
Portal management. Enroll and activate patient portal accounts, answer questions and/or resolve any user issues
Compliance. Ensure your work is compliant with all policies and procedures
