Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical and analytical support for various essential business systems including the Meter Inventory
Management System (MIMS) and Field Work Management System (CGI)

Provide technical and analytical support for the operation and further development of features and functionality
for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system, including the network infrastructure, meter technologies
and back office systems.

Develop and/or enhance existing spreadsheets, databases, and web pages to support various business related
functions

Analyze and interpret financial results and forecasts. Perform required variance analyses
Partner with and develop positive working relationships with various clients including vendors, LIPA and other
financial and operating areas to obtain information required to meet responsibilities and respond to various
inquiries.

Assist on special projects as needed.
Provide managers and staff a thorough analysis of daily operations and transaction activities and how it varies
from specific benchmarks (i.e. previous actual and/or business plan results)

Review and analyze data, and prepare necessary reports to meet financial, regulatory and contractual
obligations.

Support documentation writing, editing, revising, proofreading, and assembling reports, minutes, SDLC
documents, and user documentation such as user manuals and online help content.
This is a multi-level growth series position, the title, grade level and incentive target assigned to the successful candidate will be
determined by assessing skills and related experience, learned through the interview process.
If an internal candidate is selected, they will move laterally at their current grade level and will not be eligible for a promotion at the
time of accepting this position. This applies to candidates moving within the same career path (e.g., analyst, supervisor, engineer), or
to a different career path (e.g., analyst to engineer, supervisor to analyst). The selected candidate will have an opportunity to be
promoted within the career path during an annual review.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills, Competencies and Education

Bachelor’s degree or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in the fields of Business, Statistics,
Finance, IT or a related discipline

Demonstrated organization, analytical, and quantitative analysis skills
Proficiency with MS Office Products – Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
Demonstrated experience in data mining
Demonstrated ability to develop new approaches with applicable tools to measure success
Must be detail oriented and able to work independently
Demonstrated ability to work across department boundaries
Demonstrated experience promoting team effectiveness by soliciting input from team members, communicating
expectations of the team and delegating responsibilities while providing support and structure

This position may require travel to various work locations

Preferred skills, Desired Skills

Experience in electric metering
Project Management experience and/or experience with Microsoft Project
Experience with Oracle Database Management
Demonstrated ability to create and edit graphic images for use in documentation.
