Business Analyst Job in Total Care Rx

Total Care Rx is an independent Specialty Pharmacy based out of Queens that is about to launch into its next phase as a national pharmacy. The Business Analyst role is an important role which supports the Finance and Commercial Operations teams.
The Business Analyst will work closely with senior members of the management team to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner. They will help help facilitate day to day activities of the finance function projects, produce financial, operational and management Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s. Develop insightful management information to support and drive the decision making process and integrate finance fully into all aspects of the business operations. They will also help support the commercial team by gathering current data, analyzing the business, and helping build out trends to help fuel future decisions.
Responsibilities include:
As a member of the Healthcare Finance department, the Business Analyst will be working closely with confidential information. Integrity and strong professional values are a must for this role.
Develop process solutions through automation, standardization, and innovation.
Lead special projects, lending data expertise and actionable insights. Examples include operational, data warehouse, and third party projects.
Develop exception reporting and conduct drill-down analysis to proactively identify specific variances.
Conducting monthly financial analytics to accurately measure net revenue shifts due to factors such as volume and rate changes, service mix shifts fluctuations, etc.
Queries various databases and financial systems to gather, analyze, and report on data.
Assists with the development of the annual budget. Prepares reports and other relevant data for distribution to department managers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis or equivalent.
Three (3) years of experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably in a health care related field. Three (3) years of work related experience in data manipulation and analysis also required. Must have a working knowledge of accounting/financial concepts, and experience with databases and report writing. Strong background in data extraction and analysis, and data management
Prefer strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Effectively communicate results of financial analyses to all organizational levels
Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point
Familiarity with database tools such as SQL and Microsoft Access.
Office is located in Oakland Gardens, NY which is right on the border of Queens and Nassau. You will need to live in a commutable distance as this is an On Site role.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
