What you’ll do:
Ensures that the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines.
Follows proper receiving, storage, and preparation techniques to ensure that all food items are maintained at a high quality until consumed.
Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Ensures timeliness and quality of food production.
Helps manage day-to-day operations including procurement, financial reporting, inventory control, employee scheduling, and payroll
Purchases food and related supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Plans customer and catering menus.
Monitors financial stability on an ongoing basis by meeting operating budgets.
Assist with all aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.).
Comply with, monitor, and assist in, the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
Assist in the preparation and consolidation (as needed) of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
Manage all aspects of the general ledger – e.g.: manage journal entries, invoices etc.
Research, analyze, and resolve variances and other accounting issues timely and consistent with generally accepted accounting principles.
Serve as a liaison to external auditors, participate and provide all information required.
Process Payrolls and all payments.
Handle all employee onboarding.
Who you are:
5 years of proven accounting-related work experience preferred.
Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations.
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
Understand data analysis and forecasting.
Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
Well-organized with the ability to prioritize.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Able to perform detailed and focused tasks.
BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred.
QuickBooks Online certified.
Accounting experience and background.
