Head of Investment and Wealth Solutions Technology Job in LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)

To lead the global Investment & Wealth Solutions Technology organisation that develops and supports the technology solutions for our Wealth Advisory platform, T1, TDN, Funds & Research, and Research & Portfolio Management businesses. This role will lead by:

Developing and executing the Investment and Wealth Technology strategy that enables LSEG’s ambition to be the preferred data and wealth management provider at the centre of the financial markets ecosystem.
Partnering with the Data & Analytics business to deliver its strategic objectives of accelerating sustainable growth, delivering an exceptional customer experience, simplifying the way we operate, and enabling sustainable finance and investments.
Engaging with D&A business partners, customers, market / industry partners, internal technology groups and vendors to enhance existing capabilities or identify and implement new investment and wealth capabilities for our products and services
Building, shaping, and inspiring a global, high-performing Investment and Wealth Technology organisation that is dynamic, innovative, and agile and delivers customer outcomes at pace.

Develops and executes the strategy for Investment and Wealth Solutions Technology, ensuring alignment with group-wide and Data & Analytics divisional business and technology strategy and objectives.

Works closely with D&A business and technology leadership to deliver on the strategic investments and roadmaps for all products and services in Investments & Wealth Solutions portfolio.
Owns, develops and supports technology assets and services across Investment & Wealth Solutions including the Wealth Advisory Platform, T1, TDN, Lipper Funds, Investment Research, Portfolio Analytics and Starmine Research.
Effectively manages and improves service quality, resiliency and risk management across Investment & Wealth Solutions Technology through simplification, more effective risk management & decision making, reduction in customer service impact, and delivery of key risk reduction, cyber and resiliency programs.
Leads and shapes a large global team of 500+ internal and external technology staff distributed across 10+ countries and multiple key locations, including London, New York, St. Louis, Bangkok, Bangalore, Brookfield and Bucharest. Builds a high-performing global technology organisation that can scale to deliver the high investment demand and manages the right balance between internal staff and external vendors to ensure appropriate levels of IP / knowledge retention and ownership vs. ability to scale up and down quickly.
Builds strong and collaborative relationships across Data & Analytics and LSEG, effectively communicating, positively influencing and engaging with diverse stakeholders and actively participating in strategy formation.
Actively connects, identifies opportunities and partners with customers, market / industry participants and vendors and ensures that all new and emerging technologies are well-understood, considered and leveraged by the organisation.
Aligns technology investments and operational objectives to group technology and D&A strategy
Implements effective governance, vendor management and financial management in line with approved budgets, risk appetite and ways of working

Responsible for the Investment and Wealth Technology team, circa 155 FTE and 350+ external vendor resources today but will become more balanced towards FTE over time

Identify, trial/test and implement market-leading technologies in support of D&A’s strategic objectives
Design and develop robust, high-quality investment and wealth solutions to deliver the D&A strategic investments and delivery roadmaps.
Shape the Investment and Wealth Solutions Technology organisation to have the right levels of market competitive leadership, talent, scale and resiliency across the right geographies to effectively develop & support our global capabilities. Foster a world-class, high-performing team that is inclusive, innovative and agile.
Drive change in the organisation through increased efficiency and simplification of processes and systems, a shift to client / product-centric agile delivery, and the breaking down of barriers to delivery across the many parts of the organisation.
Significantly improve the levels of service, resiliency and risk management across entire portfolio.
