Department Profile
Morgan Stanley’s Internal Audit Department reports to the Firm’s Board Audit Committee and comprises financial, technology and risk auditors. Our mission is to be recognized as a strong and high performing audit function that is viewed as a trusted authority and advisor to the Board, Firm management and industry regulators in assessing and strengthening the Firm’s control environment. Internal Audit provides independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of Morgan Stanley?s internal control, risk management and governance systems and processes.

Team Profile
Morgan Stanley is seeking an Audit Professional to join its Audit Practices Group within the Internal Audit Division.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Audit department and will help develop the department?s audit
methodology and provide relevant training.

Primary Responsibilities
Assisting in the development and maintenance of the department?s internal audit methodology;
Provision of assistance to audit teams for methodology-related queries;
Assisting in the preparation of training materials;
Delivering training to audit staff such as Audit Methodology Training, the New Hire Orientation Program, and various other technical training, as needed; and
Assisting with strategic initiatives and projects as needed, from both governance, input, and implementation perspectives.


Skills required
Proficient understanding of the internal audit process including risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting, continuous monitoring;
Previous audit, financial or regulatory experience within the financial services industry;
Previous audit experience with a complex or medium size bank, broker dealer;
Strong analytical skills;
Ability to quickly process and assimilate information from disparate sources;
Ability to multi-task various projects and deadlines;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
A B.S. degree in business including Finance, Accounting, etc. [note: an M.B.A. or equivalent postgraduate degree is highly encouraged to demonstrate the candidate?s discipline, commitment and focus]; and
Ability to travel when required.

Skills desired
Experience of audit methodology development
CPA, CIA or other related licensing
Experience of teaching or delivering training
Prior experience communicating with regulators
Experience with local, state and federal regulators
